As the new energy vehicle market continues to develop in ways that exceed initial expectations, the automotive industry continues to promote the trend towards "electrification, intelligence, Internet connection" and other technological innovations that, when combined, are driving the continuous demand for on-board car LCD displays.

It is clear, from speaking with customers at a new energy vehicle maker’s showroom in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, that the specifications, size, application and other specific functions of the display(s) in a car’s cockpit have become important factors for potential purchasers.
This shift is also clearly evident in the numbers. According to market research firm Media, for instance, global shipments of automotive display panels totalled 127 million units in 2020. And this figure, while already impressive, is only going to grow. Indeed, it is estimated that the automotive display market will expand at an average annual rate of 6.5% over the next decade, with annual sales reaching a remarkable 238 million units by 2030.
