According to Ferrari, the chosen OLED technology offers ultra-narrow bezels, near-perfect blacks, and extremely high contrast. These characteristics are expected to elevate cabin aesthetics while contributing to a more premium, immersive driving experience.
Ferrari Chief R&D Officer Ernesto Lasalandra said Samsung Display’s expertise in designing and manufacturing ultra-thin, lightweight OLED panels is essential for enhancing the digital experience in Ferrari’s upcoming models. He noted that in the luxury segment, passenger experience is a key differentiator—and Samsung’s support is critical for introducing highly customized, cutting-edge display solutions that are rarely seen in automotive applications.
Park Jin-woo, Executive Vice President and Head of Display Business for Samsung Display in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, described the partnership as an opportunity to demonstrate Samsung Display’s technology leadership. He added that both companies share a similar mindset: pushing boundaries, continuously learning, and setting new benchmarks for the industry—aiming to deliver stronger value for customers and further reinforce Samsung Display’s position.
Lasalandra also emphasized that the cooperation reflects broader trends in the automotive market, especially around digitalization, user experience, and premium brand building. By adopting Samsung’s OLED technology, Ferrari expects to deliver more flexible and customizable displays—enabling unique layouts and highly personalized driver and passenger interfaces that improve both design appeal and functionality.
