On May 27, Thunderbird officially launched the Air 3s and Air 3s Pro AR glasses, delivering a lightweight and immersive experience powered by micro OLED microdisplays. Both models feature the Peacock Optics Engine 2.0 and are equipped with 5.5th-generation micro OLED screens from VisEra Technologies.
These microdisplays use dual-layer OLED technology similar to Apple’s iPad Pro, providing up to 1,200 nits brightness, a 200,000:1 contrast ratio, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming for flicker-free visuals. Five adjustable color modes allow for personalized image tuning.
Weighing only 76 grams, the glasses are significantly lighter than many used AR headsets or miniature OLED devices. The design includes skin-friendly adjustable temples with 9 posture settings for enhanced comfort.
Audio quality is supported by symmetrical quad speakers in both models. The Air 3s Pro also adds a 3D surround sound system, a light-blocking front shield, and a charging adapter for a more immersive and versatile AR experience.
A new HDMI adapter with an independent power supply makes it easy to connect the glasses to gaming consoles, laptops, and other devices — offering a portable alternative to traditional AR glasses for gaming. Combining sleek design, vivid visuals, and true portability, the Thunderbird Air 3s series stands out in the market for micro OLED display wearables - ideal for users looking to upgrade from used AR headsets or explore next-gen AR technology.
