OLED displays have become a key driver of innovation in the display industry, particularly in smartphones and wearable devices, due to their lightweight form factor, high contrast ratio, and low power consumption. As GalaxyCore’s first milestone product in the OLED market, the GC3A71 stands out with its performance and adaptability, offering a competitive display driver solution for wearables.

The GC3A71 supports GalaxyCore’s proprietary Chip-on-Glass (COG) packaging, significantly reducing the module bezel to enhance screen-to-body ratio and visual integration. This not only improves aesthetic appeal but also frees up more space for compact wearable designs. Built-in SRAM and dynamic refresh rate technology support 1–60Hz operation, ensuring smooth visuals while minimizing power consumption—critical for long-duration use in wearable devices.

In terms of display quality, the GC3A71 supports 11-bit digital gamma adjustment, delivering finer grayscale rendering and a wider color gamut. This translates into more delicate image details and richer, more lifelike colors—enhancing the overall user experience on compact best wearable screens.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the GC3A71 supports both COG and COF packaging, and is c
ompatible with rigid and flexible AMOLED panels. It also supports multiple communication interfaces including 1-line, 2-line, and 4-line SPI, enabling customers to configure systems according to their specific needs. Built for industrial-grade reliability, the GC3A71 performs stably across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Manufactured using a mature 55nm process, the chip strikes a balance between performance and cost, helping customers accelerate commercialization of their end products.

Wang Fuzhong, Vice President of GalaxyCore’s Display Business Unit, commented:
“The successful delivery of the GC3A71 is a major milestone in the development of our display product line. It represents our official expansion from TFT-LCD display segment, completing our portfolio in high-end display markets. This breakthrough paves the way for GalaxyCore to unlock new growth opportunities in the OLED space. Building on this achievement, we will continue enhancing our OLED DDIC solutions for wearable devices and accelerate development of OLED driver products for smartphones and other terminals, driving synergies across our LCD and AMOLED product lines to further strengthen our competitive edge.”

With the GC3A71, GalaxyCore is poised to empower the next wave of wearable innovation—bringing smarter, more immersive display experiences to users worldwide.
